Privacy policy
Effective 2026-10-01. Written in plain language; this is not legal advice. The French version prevails if the two differ.
Person in charge of the protection of personal information
The person in charge of the protection of personal information is Gabriel Jossic (legal name: Jossic Gabriel), Sainte-Luce, Quebec, Canada. For any question, request or complaint: gabriel.jossic@gmail.com.
We handle personal information under Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, as amended by Law 25, and, where it applies, Canada's federal PIPEDA.
What we collect and why
- Your messages (name, email address and what you write): to reply, prepare a preview and a quote, and deliver your order.
- Order information from our payment processor (name, email, billing country, amount, date; never your full card number): to deliver, invoice, handle refunds and keep the accounting records the law requires.
- Material you send for an order (for example your website address or product details): only to do the work you asked for.
- Business contact details a business published itself (business name, role email address, website and the page where we found them): to send a small number of relevant business emails. Every such email says who we are and how to stop further emails, and we honour opt-outs promptly.
We collect this information directly from you (by email) or from our payment processor when you order. We do not sell or rent personal information and do not use it for advertising.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising pixels or third-party trackers. Our hosting provider keeps short-lived technical logs (such as IP addresses) to keep the site secure and working.
Artificial intelligence and automated decisions
We use AI tools (Claude, by Anthropic) to prepare replies and deliverables, so messages and material you send us may be processed by that service for this purpose. No decision about you is made by automated processing alone. Please do not send sensitive information (health, financial, identity documents) the work does not need.
Service providers and transfers outside Quebec
We share personal information only with providers that help us run the business, and only what they need:
- Cloudflare, Inc.: website hosting and security logs.
- Stripe: payment processing.
- Anthropic: AI tool used to prepare replies and deliverables.
- Google (Gmail): sending and receiving email.
These providers are based in, or store data in, the United States, where local law may give authorities access to it. Before sharing information with them, we take into account its sensitivity and the providers' contractual privacy commitments.
How long we keep it
Order and accounting records: six years, as tax law requires. Correspondence and business contact records: up to three years after our last exchange, including proof of how we obtained a business contact, then destroyed. Opt-out requests are kept as long as needed to respect them.
Your rights
You can ask to access your personal information, have it corrected or deleted, withdraw your consent, have its dissemination stopped, or receive a copy in a structured, commonly used technological format. Write to gabriel.jossic@gmail.com; we reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (www.cai.gouv.qc.ca).
Security and incidents
We use reputable providers, strong passwords and limited access. If a confidentiality incident creates a risk of serious injury, we notify the Commission d'accès à l'information and the people affected as the law requires, and we keep a register of incidents.
